Tricia started her yoga journey in 2010 shortly after graduating college and starting her career as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She began practicing yoga for physical fitness & athletic recovery but quickly saw improvement in her emotional well being. In 2017, Tricia and Sam received their 200 RYT together on the island of Maui. Once home, their dream of owning a studio quickly came to life.

The healing and comfort Tricia experienced in the mind and body is something she hopes to always share through her classes.

She has since become certified in restorative yoga, kids yoga, reiki, prenatal yoga and is currently completing her 500 YTT. Tricia’s classes are taught with consideration of individual needs - allowing you to embrace yoga with curiosity and without judgment, all while having fun. Her classes are accessible, playful, & full of good energy.

In 2017, at 37 years old, Sarah had accomplished everything on her adult to-do list and was "doing it all". And yet...was stressed, overwhelmed, and unfulfilled. During that year, she went to her first yoga class at Zen Den Yoga Shala, and it changed her life. The pandemic brought about time and space to dig deeper, and in 2021 Sarah received her YTT 200.

From Sarah, here are are a few thoughts about what yoga has been for her and what she hopes others can find as well:
  • A letting go. Of tears, of fears, of whatever is weighing me down.
  • Stillness. Sometimes terribly uncomfortable, sometimes a nap during savanna.
  • Music. Feeling the beat pull me through the poses. Hearing the words speak to my soul.
  • A connection to my true self. Naked and raw. Pure. A breaking apart and fusing back together.

Alex is originally from Tiffin, Ohio and moved to Louisville with her husband (Joe) and daughter (Collins) in the summer of 2019. She went to her first class at the Zen Den not even two weeks after moving to Louisville and the rest was history!

She's been doing yoga since her early 20’s and really fell in love after finding the Zen Den. While pregnant with her son Jax, she completed her 200 hours of YTT and has been teaching for almost a year. In Alex’s classes you will find a slower more gentle vinyasa flow along with some restorative postures. Alex aims to bring forth the philosophy of yoga in her courses and hold space for her students to discover more than just their physical bodies. She enjoys her students finding emotional strength and confidence within themselves.

Dena received her 200 hr YTT certification at Open Way Yoga in Huron, Ohio in May of 2020. She began her journey with yoga by stumbling upon it at local breweries as well as while on vacations. After years of struggling with how to treat mental health issues, Dena became more curious about yoga and diving deeper into it. Yoga has become part of her mental health maintenance and she wants to share the practice with others who may be in the same boat. In addition to teaching yoga, Dena works full-time as a speech language pathologist in the schools with a special interest in the special needs population. She also enjoys baking, running, reading, time spent with friends, walking her dog and a good craft beer.
